Your 6th out of 7 nieces and nephews is turning "21" years old!!!!! Happy Birthday, Tyler!!! <3 The youngest nephew is or has been partying, I am sure, for several hours. But earlier in the day (11/11/09) I gave him four things to remember: the third was to NOT DRIVE, and the fourth was our private joke (guess it isn't anymore now)......that he has to live long enough to take away my driver's license from me in about 20 to 30 years. I shall rest easier once I hear from the family in Michigan. So, no news is good news. We old aunties worry about things like parents sometimes, even when it's none of our business....lol.

Good luck to my honorary nephew, a fine poet and storyteller here in dA.....as he embarks on his exams this week, then can visit with his family for a couple of weeks afterwards. Hoorayyyyy to Him <3 <3<3 He deserves a good long vacation after all of his hard work. As do many of you, I should imagine, by this time of the year. Bet you're all getting that itchy feeling for Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays to already GET HERE!!! Good luck to all of You.....wherever you may be, and whatever you have to accomplish.

So far as I know, my other three brothers and their families (and children's families) are doing well as can be in this economy. My brother here is holding down a full time teaching schedule, plus another couple of part time jobs. Myself, even without health insurance, am feeling more fortunate than many, in that I live-in where I work, and don't have other massive bills to keep up with like the rest of them. I know how very lucky I am right now.

"F" and I have finally finished up the major pruning, trimming, and weeding around the outside of the house, and have begun taking daily walks again, usually before dinner. It is much cooler, and I can enjoy thoroughly the post sunset skies, when it is too dark to take any more pictures, but it is still splendiferous to view the heavens. They change so dramatically, that it amazes me. Seems I can snap off about 40 pics on my little digital camera, then come inside while fixing dinner, weed them out until I have about a dozen.....then when we go for a walk, the darkening sky is still changing colour yet again. Truly a spectacle to behold. What really tweaks me, is that everyone I know here seems to kind of take it all for granted, like they've seen it before . Guess it is like an Easterner (that's what they call me....lmao....Michigan native) and knowing intimately, all the nuances of snowflakes, icicles, drifts, and storms in the Winter time. Snow will always bring out the child in me, and I hope that so long as I am in the desert, the skies and plant life here will do the same for me. That is, to hope they never become "blase'" to me.

Well, I've given you some fair warning that I will be posting now, so last chance to turn off your watch buttons, as I will be putting out more than five shots. Probably wait until tomorrow morning though, as my eyes are starting to fry here. Hope I haven't repeated myself too many times, and that you all have wonderful weekends approaching your way. Ta!! :sun:  :floating:   :D

Deb, You're very welcome. That was such a unique picture, and brought back memories for me too, of the (now antique) original carousels. Lovely, especially with the colour(s)used. :)
